Tulsa Children’s Museum Family Concert Series -By Allyson Jannotta

Get ready to boogie down, dress like wild animals and sing catchy tunes that both you and your kids will like – we are proud to announce Tulsa Children’s Museum’s Family Concert Series!

Our concerts will truly be fun for all because we made sure to pick artists of different genres that the whole family can enjoy.

After surveying over 400 Tulsa parents, we came up with a fantastic line-up: Trout Fishing in America, Ralph’s World and a Symphonic Safari with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.

And that’s not all – the excitement starts the moment you walk in the door. Show up early because before and after the show we will have fun and educational activities that relate to the theme of each concert.

At the Trout concert this fall, your kids can fish for recycled materials and build their own instruments with our Reclaim This! Old Stuff, New Art traveling exhibit.

Before and after they experience pop music at the Ralph’s World winter concert, your children can pop bubbles with our POP! The Art and Science of Bubbles exhibit.

And be thinking of your favorite animal because at the spring concert with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra - you and your kids can show up dressed like that animal. And to add a little pizzazz to your outfits - before and after that show you can complete your costume with parent/ child animal face painting.

Our concert series will be held at the John H Williams Theatre at Tulsa’s beautiful Performing Arts Center in downtown Tulsa.

We are committed to keeping prices low so all families can enjoy this experience and will donate ten percent of the tickets to each concert to families in need.

Tickets go on sale August 1st and can be purchased at the PAC box office 918-596-7111 or on-line at www.tulsapac.com. They are – get this - $10 each for Trout and the Symphony and $12 for Ralph’s World – making it just $32 for the entire series. And just like the airlines – children under age two can sit on your lap and are FREE!

Stay tuned for future Tulsa Kids’ articles with details about the artists.
