Executive Director
ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY
Since 2007, the Tulsa Children’s Museum (TCM) has served the Tulsa community by inspiring children, connecting families, and building community through exploration, exhibits, programming, and play. As an emerging museum in its fifth fiscal year, TCM has followed a model that has produced sustainable children’s museums in other metros by “borrowing walls” though partnerships with local organizations. In order to take the next natural step, TCM is completing an exhaustive site survey for a “test site” for its first physical home which will allow us to “test” exhibits and experiences in a temporary space, with the community as our ongoing focus group, to make final decisions necessary for a permanent location and prove long-term sustainability in the Tulsa community. It is also within the constraints of our 5 year strategic plan to break ground on a permanent facility based on the information garnered through our “test site” findings.
